History Study Group
During August of this 2018 our guild participated in the textile exhibit at the Hood River History Museum. We helped with posters, provided weavings, spinning, knitting and other help with the exhibit. We also set up a loom with a design drafted from a coverlet that the museum had in their archives. This coverlet, circa 1790’s, came to Hood River by wagon train from New England. It was such a inspiring and educational project that the guild would like to explore what other textiles are in the archives of local museums.
